Admission and regulations in the Alhambra and Generalife Monumental Complex

  • The number of tickets is limited; we recommend purchasing them in advance due to the high demand.
  • The maximum number of tickets per person is 10 (except for authorized travel agents).

Access to the Monument

  • It is recommended that you arrive ahead of time even if you have bought tickets in advance, especially on weekends or holidays, given the large number of visitors.
  • The estimated time to complete a full visit is approximately 3 hours.
  • You will only be allowed to access the monument in the morning, afternoon or night schedule depending on the type of ticket you purchased (see type of ticket). Organize your visit based on the assigned schedule for accessing the Nasrid Palaces.
  • If you have not arranged for tickets, you will have to purchase them at the ticket office located in the Entrance Pavilion, and then access to the Monument from the Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife.
  • If you have a ticket it is recommended to gain access to the area through the Gate of Justice (Puerta de la Justicia).

Access to the Nasrid Palaces

  • You will only be able to enter within the time indicated on your ticket, as there is a capacity control in this area. If you don’t enter in the specific time, you will lose the right to visit this area.
  • If your entrance time for the Nasrid Palace coincides with the last pass (one hour before closing time) you will have to visit the Generalife and Alcazaba earlier, given that the tour of the area takes at minimum a half hour.
