Where and how to get a ticket to visit the Alhambra

General information about the tickets

  • Due to the great demand of tickets and to the restriction in the number of visitors per day, advance booking is recommended.
  • You will only be able to access the Nasrid Palaces in the time slot indicated on your ticket. If you do not enter at the designated time, you will not be able to visit this space.
  • Due to the large crowds it is advisable to arrive at the monument in advance, especially on weekends and holidays.
  • Visitors should leave the Monument at the closing time.

About Nasrid Palaces Visit

The Nasrid Palaces may only be accessed in the hour indicated on your ticket, due to limited capacity. If you don’t visit them in this time slot, you will lose your right to visit this part of the Alhambra. If your time slot for the Nasrid Palaces corresponds with the final entrance of the day (one hour before closing time), it is recommended visiting the Generalife and the Alcazaba before entering the Nasrid Palaces, which will take you at least half an hour.

 

Types of tickets

There are several types of tickets. Read the Alhambra timetables section for more details.

Admission to the Charles V Palace, the Alhambra Museum and the Mosque baths is free.

The visit includes those places that have been designated as "area of the month" (areas which are not normally accessible by the public), as long as these areas are included in the itineraries allowed in your ticket.

 

General Day Visit

This visit includes the following areas: Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces, the Generalife and Gardens.

The General Day visit includes all the areas of the Gardens Day visit.

 

Prices

  • Adults: 14.00 €
  • Children between 12 and 15 years old: 8.00 € (his/her parents, guardians or caretakers must accompany the child)
  • Children under 12: Free admission (his/her parents, guardians or caretakers must accompany the child)
  • Senior citizens (aged 65 years and over) and pensioners from the European Union: 9.00 €. A justification of retirement must be presented
  • Euro < 26 and Euro < 30 Card holders: 9.00 €
  • People with disabilities (with more than 33% disability and upon presentation of valid document): 8.00 €

 

Gardens Day Visit

Visitors may access the following spaces:

  • Walk of the Cypresses (Paseo de los Cipreses), Unirrigated Land (Secano), Saint Francis´Gardens (Jardines de San Francisco.)
  • Alcazaba: Garden of the Ramparts (Jardines de los Adarves.)
  • The Partal: Portico of the Palace, Gardens and Walks, Rauda, Palace of Yusuff III, Tower Walk.
  • Generalife Palace: Lower Gardens and High Gardens.

This ticket does not provides you with the access the Nasrid palaces.

 

Prices

  • Adults: 7.00 €
  • Children under 12: Free admission (his/her parents, guardians or caretakers must accompany the child)
  • Euro < 26 and Euro < 30 Card holders: 6.00 €

 

Nasrid Palaces Night Visit

This ticket allows you to visit the Nasrid Palaces.

This ticket does not include:

  • Access to the Generalife Palace at night.
  • The visit of the Monument during the daytime.

 

Prices

  • Adults: 8.00 €
  • Children under 12: Free admission (his/her parents, guardians or caretakers must accompany the child)
  • Euro < 26 and Euro < 30 Card holders: 6.00 €

 

Gardens Night Visit 

This ticket allows you to visit Paseo de los Nogales of Generalife, New Gardens or Generalife Palace Low Gardens and Generalife Palace.

This ticket does not include:

  • Access to the Nasrid Palaces at night.
  • The visit of the Monument during the daytime.

 

Prices

  • Adults: 5.00 €
  • Children under 12: Free admission (his/her parents, guardians or caretakers must accompany the child)
  • Euro < 26 and Euro < 30 Card holders: 4.00 € 

 

Alhambra Experiences Visit

This visit combines the Nasrid Palaces Night Visit and the Gardens Day Visit on two consecutive days.

 

Prices

  • Adults: 14 €
  • Children under 12: Free admission (his/her parents, guardians or caretakers must accompany the child)

 

Dobla de Oro General

Includes:

  • General Day Visit to the Alhambra (Nasrid Palaces, Generalife and Alcazaba).
  • Visit to the following monuments: Corral del Carbón, Bañuelo, Palacio de Dar al-Horra, Casa Morisca (C/ Horno de Oro), Casa del Chapiz and Casa de Zafra.

You may visit the andalusian monuments during three days: the day of the visit to the Alhambra and the previous and following day of this visit. 

 

Prices

  • Adult: 19,65 €
  • Children under 12: Free admission (his/her parents, guardians or caretakers must accompany the child)

 

Dobla de Oro Night Visit

Includes:

  • Nasrid Palaces Night Visit.
  • Visit to the following monuments: Corral del Carbón, Bañuelo, Palacio de Dar al-Horra, Casa Morisca (C/ Horno de Oro), Casa del Chapiz and Casa de Zafra.

You may visit the andalusian monuments during three days: the day of the visit to the Alhambra and the previous and following day of this visit.

IMPORTANT

  • Even though admission for children under 12 is free, tickets must be purchased  at the same time as the others, because all visitors must carry a ticket when entering the Monument.
  • People who purchase discounted tickets must certify that they are eligible to this discount.
  • If your ticket includes the visit to the Nasrid Palaces, you will only be able to access this area in the time slot indicated on your ticket.
  • Depending on the purchase method these prices may be increased by a commission.
