Water Tower

The Water Tower (Torre del Agua) is so called because it is next to the aqueduct that takes water from the Generalife to the Alhambra.

This is a three-floor tower, quite big and without decoration but there are only remains left, like the Tower of the End of the Street (Torre del Cabo de la Carrera) which was blown up in 1812.

The rest of the Alhambra as protected by José García, an officer who cut the fuses that had been lighted between the Tower of the Street and the Tower of the Princesses (Torre de las Infantas).
