The Arms Square (Plaza de Armas) was the original entrance to the Alcazaba. It consisted of a series of constructions where different services were carried out for the inhabitants of the fortress. On the right side there is still a big cistern with two sections, which must have been a rainwater cistern but which, in the 17th century started receiving water from the Alhambra's irrigation channel. Near the cistern, to the left of the entrance to the Alcazaba, there is a bath

In the middle of the square and in part of the wall archaeologists have discovered the foundations of several Arab houses, which were the dwellings of the civil population who worked at the service of the dignitaries and military people who were there. There is of course a big dungeon close to the Broken Tower (Torre Quebrada).
