Tower of the End of the Street
The Tower of the End of the Street (Torre del Cabo de la Carrera) was so called because it was the limit of the Main Street (Calle Mayor) of the Alhambra. Only some remains of the tower are left, for it was destroyed by
Napoleon's troops in 1812 when they left
Granada.
It is located between the
Tower of the Princesses and the
Water Tower and, according to an inscription that has not been preserved, it was built or restored by the Catholic Monarchs in 1502.
